Reform
Jane Addams reformed several important aspects of this nation, including women's rights, child labor laws, homeless and immigrant awareness, and even America's federal policies. Addams, Florence Kelley, and Julia Lathrop reformed labor laws by initiating the Illinois Factory Act (1893), this Act made women's workdays shorter, and demanded that young children not work in manufacturing, and also improved work conditions. These reforms significantly changed America, and are still in place today.
